The main objective of the government liaisoning to communicate with the Department of Electrical Inspectorate (CEIG – Chief Electrical Inspector to Government) for approval of implementation Safety provisions under the Electricity Act-2003 and Central Electricity Authority Regulations, 2010 to ensure Safety by minimizing the danger to human beings, animal life and damage to the property and equipment. The most challenging and tricky process while installing the LT/HT, Generator or Renewable installation, is getting approvals from CEI.

Administration of Electricity Laws, inspection of electrical installations for ensuring electrical safety, Energy Audit and administration of Lift Laws are the main functions of the office of the Chief Electrical Inspector and several subordinate offices situated in the State.
First Electrical Drawing Approval obtain from CEIG before installation process then Electrical Drawing Approval. After Electrical Drawing Approval, installation can be start as per approved design and end of installation CEI will visit to verify installation with drawings and provide approval to charge. which will be submitted to DICOM for commissioning process.
